The Future is Orange: SKS Germany's Bicycle Business
SKS Germany employs 400 people at its bicycle headquarters in Sundern, and over 700 employees across its three combined divisions. The company's bicycle business is split between aftermarket product sales (43%) and OEM (original equipment manufacturer) product sales (32%).
Annually, SKS Germany produces 4.5 million full fenders, 2 million clip-on fenders, and 1.2 million bicycle pumps, totaling over 18,000 fenders per day and 3,200 pumps per day.
Revamping the Classics: The New Bluemels and Bluemels Style Fenders
In 2022, SKS revamped its full fender line, replacing the classic Chromoplastic Longboard and Commuter II full fenders with the new Bluemels and Bluemels Style fenders. Both models are made using the same chromoplastic fender material, but the Bluemels now feature black hardware and are available in more sizes than before.
The Bluemels Style fenders, on the other hand, boast a square profile design, double U Stay technology, a matte black finish, and a sleek, flexible spoiler on the front and rear fender.
