For over 100 years, SKS has been a quality manufacturer in the bicycle industry, keeping bikes rolling. The company's history began in 1921 when Karl Scheffer-Klute of Sundern, Germany started manufacturing curtain rods. In 1932, Wilhelm Blome purchased the company and also acquired a tire inflator company, inspiring him to begin producing metal pumps.

Now known as a pump and bicycle fender manufacturer, SKS also offers a wide range of accessories for bikes, including pumps, fenders, bags, tools, digital pressure gauges, bottle cages, cage adapters, and phone holders. All SKS products are designed and manufactured in Sundern, Germany, and the company is committed to continuing innovation and producing the highest quality cycling accessories.

SKS Germany employs 400 people at its bicycle headquarters in Sundern, and over 700 employees across its three combined divisions. 43% of the company's bicycle business is through aftermarket product sales, while 32% is OEM product. Annually, SKS Germany produces 4.5 million full fenders, 2 million clip-on fenders, and 1.2 million bicycle pumps, totaling over 18,000 fenders per day and 3,200 pumps per day.

In 2022, the SKS full fender line was revamped. The classic Chromoplastic Longboard and Commuter II full fenders were replaced with the new Bluemels and Bluemels Style fenders. Both models are made using the same chromoplastic fender material, but the Bluemels now come with black hardware and are available in more sizes than before. The Bluemels Style fenders feature a square profile design, double U Stay technology, a matte black finish, and come with a sleek, flexible spoiler on the front and rear fender.

SKS continues to be a leader in clip-on fender options as well, offering a full line of commuting essentials for every type of rider, including e-bikes, all made in Germany. The company's products include fenders, floor pumps, mini pumps, air pressure gauges, bike bags and racks, phone holders, tools, bottles, cages, and adapters.

One of the standout features of SKS pumps is their Synthetic Unique 2-Chamber/2-Plunger Pumping System, which provides high pumping efficiency in an extremely compact size. The dual-chamber inflation system allows for easy pressure build-up, and the large, comfortable grip area on the pump head helps to avoid hand injury. These pumps are compatible with Presta valves and have a maximum pressure of 8 bar/ 115 psi.
